The fibre is then spun into single ply yarn before being woven into LER MAT, CODE (LER). Alternatively, the fibre is inserted within Coir or Polypropylene U.V. stabilised netting for extra durability.

Natural fibre ler mat soil control matting is highly versatile and has vast applications in areas of soil control and bio-engineering. It is an environmentally friendly and cost effective solution to soil control. The lignin content provides resistance to rot and the high durability netting provides high strength while the fibre mix expands on water absorption thereby increasing filtration.

This natural ability to absorb water also aids vegetation. Coir ler Fabric also absorbs solar radiation thereby maintaining balanced soil temperatures. Coir ler Fabric is aesthetically pleasing. The Fabric decomposes environmentally after 4-8 years thereby increasing the organic soil content.

The mat is ideal for slopes, golf courses, shorelines, ski slopes, stream banks, creative gardens & hedges.
